Hello Family and friends. Now over the next few weeks I will add as much as possible of our 49 wonderful years together. As they say in the press, " Watch this space " What a lot of people do not know is, that I took Lall's Dad out before her. I was a lorry driver lodging in the George hotel in Yalding in Kent in 1961. Her dad used to come with me in my lorry to the London markets. This went on for just over a week, One Saturday night her dad and myself were enjoying a drink in the pub, when Lall walked in and went to chat with one of the locals at the bar. I could not take my eyes off her. Charlie, Lall's Dad said " What you looking at " I said that bird over there, she's a bit tasty. He said, " That's my daughter Lall. With that he called her over and introduced us. This was the start of our life together. After this early acquaintance with Lall's dad. I was invited home one Sunday for lunch. Lall's parents owned two cottages opposite the pub where I lodged, After a whirlwind courtship, Her mum offered us the second cottage she owned so we could set up home together. Many of the family help get our home up and running and we went from strength to strength. After about a year Lalls mum got fed up with country life and sold up and purchased a chalet at Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppy. We had a few hard times when first we were together, But through it all Lall was the mainstay of the partnership. Then we moved back to London, This was where her heart was. We got a flat in Goldney Rd and I got a job in Algin motors which was virtually below the flat. During our 20 odd years in London we moved a total of 4 times. each time bettering ourselves. The final move was to a garden flat in Sutherland Ave W9. Alongside which I had my own garage business. Lall worked at St Peters school when we first moved to London, then she got a job at St Mary's Hospital in Praed street. A job she held for 18 years until we moved to Wellingborough and buying our own house. The next installment will follow shortly
