Treasured words

In loving memory of a Dear Wife, This is a slight embellishment on what my dear Granddaughter Emma read at the cremation service. For me the words say it all. Dear Lall, God saw you getting tired, And a cure was not to be, He closed his arms around you, And whispered " Come to me" In tears we saw you sinking, And we watched you fade away, Our hearts were almost broken, You fought so hard to stay, And although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. And when we saw you sleeping Peacefully without pain, We could not wish you back to suffer so again. So keep your arms around her Lord, And give her special care, Make up for all her suffering and all that seemed unfair, A Golden Heart stopped beating; Hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Your ever loving Husband John
